Lindsay Doyle
(T.C.R.G):
Lindsay is one of three teachers who have founded the
Doyle Academy of Irish Dance. Lindsay is a qualified dance
instructor under the Commission of Irish Dance in Ireland and is
highly skilled in all technical aspects of Irish dance. Her
competitive titles include three time Canadian champion, ranking
4th in North America, as well as placing 7th in the World
Championships of Irish dance.
Lindsay's competitive accomplishments paved the way for her
professional career that began when she joined the troupe of
"Riverdance - The Show". Lindsay was a part of the
"Riverdance" cast for five years traveling all across North
America and Europe. Her Riverdance career also included a two
year residency on Broadway in New York City, a lifelong aspiration
for any professional dancer.
Today, as a teacher, Lindsay wants to translate her experiences in
the professional world of dance to her students. She has a true
passion for Irish dancing and she hopes to motivate and inspire her
students to achieve their dreams and reach for the
stars!
Shannon Doyle:
Shannon is a very accomplished dancer who has an
unwavering passion for Irish dancing. Shannon is a five time
Canadian Champion; she has been ranked second in North
America and has placed ninth at both the All-Ireland
Championships and World Championships.
Shannon's professional career also began when she joined the troupe
of "Riverdance - The Show", travelling to countless cities
across North America. The heart of her career began when she was
offered a position in the cast of "Riverdance -on
Broadway".
Shannon loved her time on tour and in New York it is here where she
attained a new vitality for her love of dance. As a teacher she
wants to demonstrate to her students that determination and
dedication are the keys to success not only in dance but also in
life.
Tanya Doyle:
Tanya is both an accomplished dancer and performer.
Tanya began Irish dance at an early age and began competing in
competitions locally and abroad. Her competitive experience lead to
six consecutive 2nd place titles in the Canadian
Championships as well as ranking 9th place in the North
American Championships. Her accomplishments lead to performances
with Michael Flatley, the Chieftans, Leahy,
and Natalie McMaster.
Tanya, along with her two sisters, received the Leading Edge award
presented by the cities of Kitchener and Waterloo in recognition of
their many dance accomplishments. Tanya has a love for teaching
that she exemplifies every day both in her high school classroom at
Bluevale Collegiate Institute and in her dance classes.
In her dance classes, Tanya brings her experience in
competition and performance into the classroom with a teaching
style that exudes enthusiasm and encouragement. Tanya brings out
the best in each students.
